Implementing Digital Resilience: The role of Digitalisation in Emergency Response and Post-war Recovery
As part of the MCR2030 Digital Resilience Webinar Series, Webinar 2 under the title: Implementing Digital Resilience, comes in response to the Ukraine Crisis, with the aim to support Ukrainian Cities rethink the use of digital technologies and innovations in emergency response and reconstruction recovery. Building on the knowledge gained and experiences shared by European cities and experts at (Webinar 1: Understanding Digital Resilience: Opportunities and Challenges) in Nov 2022, this webinar will address the question of how digital technologies can help build cities and communities whole-of-governance resilient systems, throughout immediate humanitarian aid, socio-economic regeneration and structural governance reforms towards long term sustainable development, while ensuring socially just and green transition?. Embedding the principles of agility and transparency in risk governance and resilience decision-making, our speakers will explore the means to harness the potential of data and technology in various areas such as cyber defence, disaster damage and loss remote-based assessments, social media analytics, data mining, reconstruction modelling and urban neighbourhood regenerations, to ensure the effective implementation of digital resilience in Ukraine’s conflict and fragile settings, while create the enabling environment for building back better.
